Cristina Fernandez has been with Hatzimemos/Libby since 2011. She is currently the Executive Assistant to the founding partners, Eric Hatzimemos and Oliver Libby. Cristina works with the partners daily to manage the firm’s office and key service providers, enhance the firm’s support of its portfolio companies, support the team, and coordinate the firm’s network.
Cristina has collected unique professional experience across a variety of sectors, including education, non-profit, and marketing. Her specialty is organizational strategy and management. Prior to her role at H/L, she worked for FORSPRO, a provider of study abroad programs in Spain. She coordinated group tours, created travel schedules, and provided onsite support for faculty and students in order to facilitate rich learning experiences outside of the classroom. Cristina also worked for Terry Hines & Associates, a full-service marketing agency for major motion picture studios, where she handled Hispanic marketing for popular film releases such as Tropic Thunder, Casino Royale, and Twilight.
Cristina moved to New York from Miami. She graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. In addition to her extensive professional portfolio, she enjoys dedicating her time to volunteer work. She formerly served on the Executive Leadership Committee for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man & Woman of the Year Campaign, as well as a mentor and social captain for their Team in Training program.
